Dear Distinguished Guests, Colleagues, and Friends,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great honor and pleasure to welcome you
to the 1st International Conference on Innovative Structure and
Resilient City (ISRC 2025), which will be held from September 27 to
29, 2025, in the vibrant city of Nagoya, Japan. This
conference provides an interdisciplinary platform to explore cutting-edge innovations,
research breakthroughs, and practical applications in the fields of resilient
cities, infrastructure, and resilience-based
management.
In the face of growing global challenges such as climate change, urbanization, natural
disasters, and aging infrastructure, the concept of a Resilient City
has gained significant attention. A resilient city is defined as one that can
absorb, adapt to, and recover from shocks and stresses while
maintaining its core functions and ensuring the well-being of its inhabitants. This
requires not only robust and innovative structural designs but also the integration of
smart technologies, sustainable practices, and effective resilience-based management
strategies.
The main focus of ISRC 2025 is to foster a comprehensive understanding
of the relationship between fundamental research, innovative
technologies, and engineering applications in building
resilient urban environments. Topics will cover a broad spectrum, including the design
and optimization of resilient structures, the development of smart and sustainable
infrastructure, and effective risk mitigation and management practices. Our goal is to
facilitate a collaborative exchange of ideas that bridges the gap between academic
research and real-world implementation.
We are proud to host this event in Nagoya, a city renowned for its rich
cultural heritage, advanced technology industries, and innovative approaches to urban
development. With its unique blend of tradition and modernity, Nagoya provides the
perfect backdrop for discussing the future of resilient cities. We hope that the city’s
inspiring environment will enhance your experience and encourage fruitful discussions
throughout the conference.
We are also delighted to welcome a distinguished group of keynote speakers,
panelists, and contributors from across the globe. Their expertise and
insights will guide us in exploring new frontiers in resilient city development and
structural innovation. In addition to technical sessions, workshops, and networking
opportunities, ISRC 2025 will feature discussions on emerging trends, challenges, and
the future direction of resilient city research and practice.
Finally, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, sponsors, and
supporting organizations who have made this conference possible. Your dedication and
contributions are essential to the success of ISRC 2025. We look forward to engaging
discussions, groundbreaking presentations, and collaborative efforts to shape the future
of our cities and infrastructure.
Welcome to Nagoya and to ISRC 2025! Together, let us work toward creating safer, more
sustainable, and resilient urban environments for future generations.
Sincerely,
ISRC 2025 Organizing Committee
